Lynn University Students Shine with Bad Bunny on His Most Wanted Tour

Lynn University Joins Bad Bunny’s Tour

When global superstar Bad BunnyMerch whose real name is Benito Martinez, kicked off his Most Wanted Tour, he wanted something fresh an orchestra. He found that sound in the Aurora String Quartet from Lynn University. The group includes violist Rosa Ortega Iannelli, violinists Mable Lecrone and Ruvit Bracho Marquez and cellist Joel Osinga. All are part of Lynn’s Conservatory of Music. Their opportunity came through Bracho who had worked with the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation and connected with Carlitos Lopez, Bad Bunny’s orchestra director.

Once-in-a-Lifetime Opportunity

The quartet joined a 24-member orchestra that played across 49 cities in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. At first, they were supposed to perform just five songs per night. But their role grew—they started opening the concerts with three dramatic overtures by Lopez. This gave them a behind-the-scenes view of how massive arena shows are put together. It also brought them closer as musicians and friends.

Big Stages, Big Reactions

Playing in front of crowds of 15,000 was unforgettable. “The crowd eruption was like nothing I’ve ever felt,” said Osinga. The team had a packed daily schedule that included wardrobe changes, hair and makeup, sound checks, and rehearsals. “Sometimes we did live rehearsals while everything was being recorded,” said Bracho. The string section featured six first violins, four second violins, three violas, and three cellos. Osinga led the cello section and helped polish their performance despite the high-pressure environment.

Success for Bad Bunny and the Orchestra

Pollstar ranked Bad Bunny’s Most Wanted Tour as the seventh-biggest pop tour of 2024. It earned $211 million and sold over 15,000 tickets per show. “They wanted a cinematic vibe,” Bracho explained. Fans and critics praised the orchestra’s presence—and Bad Bunny himself fully supported them.

New Outlook on Music Careers

The experience changed how the Lynn students saw their futures. “I’m classically trained, but I’m more than just a classical musician,” said Osinga. Bracho added that while she had already worked with different music styles, nothing compared to the Bad Bunny tour. Even while touring, the students kept up with their studies through online classes and submitted chamber music recordings for feedback. Back home in Boca Raton, the Aurora Quartet continues to grow from their unforgettable journey.

Latin Tours in the U.S. Take Over

2024 was a massive year for Latin music tours in the U.S. Artists like Luis Miguel, Karol G, Bad Bunny, RBD, and Aventura each made over $100 million. That’s a big jump from just one Latin artist reaching that mark in 2023. Billboard reports that Latin acts made up 16% of the top 100 tours of the year.

Bad Bunny's Tour Numbers Impress

Luis Miguel topped the Billboard tour list with $290.4 million across 128 shows. Bad Bunny came next, with Most Wanted making $211.4 million from 49 concerts. Both ranked in the top 10 worldwide joining names like Coldplay, Madonna, and The Rolling Stones. 2025 is already looking strong. Shakira is launching her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran stadium tour. Rauw Alejandro will start his Cosa Nuestra World Tour, and Nathy Peluso is preparing for her first U.S. tour. Other Latin artists like Camila and Gusi are also hitting the road in the U.S.

VIP Tickets for Bad Bunny Residency

VIP packages for Bad Bunny’s shows were available from January 15, offering premium concert tickets, hotel stays, early access, gift bags, and the full VIP experience through Viber. Bad Bunny confirmed that he won’t perform in Europe or Spain in 2025. Despite Spain being one of his biggest markets, he hasn’t toured there for any of his last five albums. He last performed in Spain in 2019 at Sónar Festival in Barcelona. In an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe he explained that timing and other factors led to the delay but promise

A History of Canceled European Dates

Bad Bunny Tour had originally planned European shows for earlier tours, including YHLQMDLG in 2020. However, those dates were canceled due to the pandemic. His 2022 El Último Tour del Mundo focused only on the Americas. Fans in Spain are still waiting for his return but he assures them that it’s coming, just not yet.
